Long Term Care is care we get once we need help with the Activities of Daily Living.  Most of us typically take these for granted such as Bathing, Dressing, Eating, Toileting, Getting In and Out of Bed or Chair, or Cognitive impairment.

Statistically, 70% of people over the age of 65 will need Long Term Care at some point in their lives.

Medicare does not pay for this (custodial care). It does pay for some Home Health Care for skilled care only.
