“Several months prior to my 65th birthday, my snail-mailbox was overflowing with letters from at least twenty medicare providers. I read a few, and I faced the realization that I had no clue who to choose, what was the best plan for me, and also I had no idea as to what questions I needed to ask to protect my own self in the face of a health-related emergency. Now, I had known Sara through our Toastmasters club. I would see her and her husband Paul every Wednesday evening, and during the course of a few years, my girlfriend Lee and I would socialize with Sara and Paul.
